Collaborative projects:
“Communism encyclopedia” – from Polish perspective – based on a grant from the Ministry of Higher Education. The project is to be concluded by 2027 with the publication of a six-volume work with several hundred contributions. The project is headed by prof. Marek Kornat, with dr Paweł Libera as project secretary.
Edited volume comprising source documents illustrating German anti-Polish propaganda under the Weimar Republic (1919–1933). The project is headed by prof. Grzegorz Kucharczyk based on a grant from the National Programme for the Development of Humanities.
“The Polish Campaign of 1939 – synthesis” project is carried out at the initiative of the Minister for Education and Science and addressed to the War Studies University. Prof. Marek Kornat is the chief editor for the volume dedicated to the diplomacy during the war campaign of 1939. The project is a collaborative work joined by professors Małgorzata Gmurczyk-Wrońska and Mariusz Wołos.
Projects completed:
„The meeting protocols of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Poland (1918–1923). Source materials.” The project was completed under the grant from the National Programme for the Development of Humanities for the Institute of History of the Polish Academy of Sciences in the period 2015–2023. The project was headed by prof. Marek Kornat, with cooperation from the Central Archives of Modern Records. 11 volumes were published documenting the work of the Council of Ministers during a crucial period for the rebuilding a sovereign statehood.

World War II, with particular focus on military history, is the core research area for prof. Marek Ney-Krwawicz and prof. Tadeusz Kondracki.
Prof. Agnieszka Cieślikowa specializes in the history of the press in the first half of the 20th century.
Dr Paweł Libera focuses his research on the promethean movement as an anti-Soviet political concept.
