The candidate should:
a) possess a degree of doctor habilitated;
b) possess a broad research experience as well as professional achievements within the field of cultural history in the 19th and 20th centuries in all possible aspects, with a special stress on historical culture and culture of memory; to a have sound knowledge of recent international methodological trends as regards study of cultural history. The candidate’s researches should pertain to the Polish lands within a broad, mainly Central European, comparative perspective. The field of the candidate’s interests should also be close to the research topic pursued by the Department of the History of Ideas and the History of Intelligentsia in the 19th and 20th centuries as a whole, i.e. the problems of conceptual history and history of ideas;
c) be able to prove a meaningful experience in a research team work and present a research project fitting the profile of the Department of the History of Ideas and the History of Intelligentsia in the 19th and 20th centuries;
d) know foreign languages in a level sufficient to conduct proposed researches;
e) They also will be expected to declare the consent for inclusion in the number of employees conducting scientific activity in the Institute during the employment period.
The Candidates are requested to submit following documents:

– copies of: (1) PhD diploma, (2) post-doctoral degree (“habilitation”) diploma,
– information about scientific achievements and the list of publications,
– research project,
– Candidate’s statement that if selected, the Institute of History of the Polish Academy of Sciences will be their primary employer.
