The candidate must have a Ph.D. in humanities in the field of history. The candidate must specialize in research of the society of the Polish territories in the Prussian partition in the 19th and early 20th centuries and have accomplishments in this field in order to be able to participate in research projects related to social modernization processes in Pomerelia in the mentioned period of time. In particular, the area of interest concerns the organization and functioning of the Prussian territorial administration, and in turn the affranchisement processes in the Pomerelian countryside and religious relations in Pomerania during the Prussian partition. The candidate will be expected to present a related research project, which in the future will become the basis for a habilitation thesis.
