The candidate must hold a Ph.D. in history, specialize in medieval history of the Hansa, the State of the Teutonic Order, Royal Prussia and Gdansk and is expected to have published in this field. In particular, the candidate is expected to be competent in major issues related to the editing of sources from the 15th–16th centuries, including knowledge with regard to archival sources in general. The candidate is furthermore expected to present a research project that would form the basis for his / her habilitation. The candidate should declare his / her consent to be included in the number of employees conducting scientific activity during the period of employment.

The Candidates are requested to submit following documents:
– the application letter addressed to the director of the Institute of History,
– curriculum vitae,
– copies of: (1) PhD diploma, (2) post-doctoral degree (“habilitation”) diploma,
– information about scientific achievements and the list of publications,
– research project,
– Candidate’s statement that if selected, the Institute of History of the Polish Academy of Sciences will be their primary employer.
