Terms of Use

The library serves as a research workspace for academic staff and doctoral students of Institute of History PAS.

The reading room is also available to employees of other academic institutions, archives, and libraries, as well as to guests, collaborators, and fellows of the Institute, and – upon a written recommendation from a professor or the head of an institution – to students.

The lending service is available to employees, doctoral students, and volunteer doctoral students of Institute of History PAS, as well as to employees and doctoral students of the Institute of History of the University of Warsaw.

Manuscripts and unpublished doctoral and habilitation theses may only be used on-site in the reading room.

Internet access is available in the reading room. Photocopies can be made for a fee in the Institute’s reprographic office.

Detailed rules for accessing the collection are specified in the Regulations.

The reading room and lending service are open Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM. In July and August, the library is open exclusively to employees and doctoral students of Institute of History PAS and the Institute of History of the University of Warsaw.
