The Candidates should possess a degree of doctor of the humanities in history (Ph.D.) and be able to proof their excellency in the field of research on Renaissance culture (in particular elite and political culture), in Poland against the European background.

At least a good knowledge of Renaissance Latin and the Italian language is required.

The candidates are obliged to present to the Commission a draft of a research project (leading to post-doctoral degree), which is compatible with the profile of research conducted at the Institute of History PAS.

They also will be expected to declare the consent for inclusion in the number of employees conducting scientific activity in the Institute during the employment period.

The Candidates are requested to submit following documents:
– an application letter addressed to the director of the Institute of History,
– a curriculum vitae,
– a copy of PhD diploma,
– information about scientific achievements and the list of publications,
– a draft of the research project which they would like to carry out in the Institute of History,
– a Candidate’s statement that if selected, the Institute of History of the Polish Academy of Sciences will be their primary employer.
