Gateway to the world of Linked Open Data

WikiHum is a reference knowledge base enabling the acquisition, sharing and harmonization of historical data about people and places for the history of Poland.

WikiHum allows you to search various data resources in one place (including Polish Biographical Dictionary, Polish Historical Atlas, Historical and Geographical Dictionary of Polish Lands). Each element in the database receives a persistent identifier based on the Handle.net system, which ensures permanent and unambiguous identification.

WikiHum is an instance of Wikibase – a simple database interface allows you to quickly find information and ask complex queries in SPARQL, as well as visualize query results in the form of a table, graph or map. The use of the Open Refine program allows for automatic and semi-automatic harmonization of user data with the WikHum resource.
